The Nike Kyrie 3 Greased Lightning PE was debuted by Kyrie Irving in Game 2 of the second round of the NBA Playoffs that was inspired by his favorite musical, Grease, and its lead character, Danny Zuko's, car. The character was played by John Travolta who drove the 1984 Ford De Luxe Convertible. Kyrie, who enjoyed theater throughout his childhood and even starred in musicals in High School, is a big fan of the iconic musical, and thus Nike tuned up the Kyrie 3 to resemble that classic car, complete with lightning detailing on the upper.
